Faylee vs Jam

Faylee and Jam both record bugs in the browser with the console, network requests and device. They differ in what a report holds, what your coding agent gets from it, and who you pay for.

No card needed to start.

Choose Faylee if…

  • You want a native page (DOM) replay in the same timeline as the video, network bodies (fetch/XHR) and steps.
  • Your coding agent should get a step-by-step brief for working a recording (get_guide), read the steps (get_steps, or as a Playwright test), and comment back (add_comment).
  • You want to save a bug that already happened with instant replay, which stays in your browser until you share it and has secrets hidden before upload.
  • You want to pay only for people who record. Viewers, link reporters and widget reporters are free.
  • You want recording links and a site widget on Team without a monthly link cap, and your own S3-compatible storage bucket.

Jam

When Jam might suit you better

  • You need to record from a Mac desktop app or an iOS app. Faylee captures web pages in Chromium browsers.
  • You want AI summaries on the free plan. Faylee’s AI analysis is on Team (100 per member a month).
  • Your support team works in Freshdesk, HubSpot or ServiceNow. Faylee connects Zendesk and Intercom.

Where they really differ

Both capture the console, network and device. These are the parts that change how a bug gets fixed.

  • What your agent gets

Faylee hands your agent the whole report over MCP or the CLI: the console, the network with bodies, the steps, the device, and the screen at any moment, rebuilt from the recorded page when there’s no video. get_guide gives it a step-by-step brief for working the recording, and when it’s done it comments back on the recording.

    get_guide · get_steps · add_comment
  • The page, not just the video

A native DOM replay of the page plays next to the video on one timeline, with network bodies and WebSocket messages, so you can inspect the page at the moment it broke.

DOM replay · network bodies · WebSockets
  • Who you pay for

Only members who record are billed. Viewers, and people who send you recordings through a link or the site widget, are free.

Can my coding agent read a Faylee report?
